At least 12 individuals have been killed and in excess of 100 got injured in a solid earthquake which shook the south-western Chinese region of Sichuan. The 6.0 size Earthquake hit close Yibin in Changning County, south-east of the common capital Chengdu, late on Monday, authorities said.
It was trailed by a few ground-breaking post-quake tremors. Television footage indicated rescuers pulling harmed individuals from the debris of fallen structures.
